Students in two Arizona schools will be participating in the award-winning SAE International A World in Motion® (AWIM®) program this fall
Volunteers will play a key role in engaging students in the AWIM program, serving as a mentor and aid to the instructor when needed. Your tasks will include explaining instructions and concepts to students and providing guidance and support throughout the activities.
Students will be working on the AWIM JetToy Challenge where groups design, build, and race their own balloon-powered cars. Attached is a slide deck with additional information on the challenge: JetToy Overview.pptx

AWIM is an inquiry-based learning experience that brings STEM concepts to life, setting students on a path of lifelong learning and discovery. Starting with the youngest learners, from preschool through 12th grade, AWIM combines practical, experiential learning with mentorship from industry volunteers and ongoing training and support for educators to provide equitable access to STEM.
