Cooling Systems Standards Committee - The Cooling Systems Standards Committee is part of the Vehicle Engineering Systems Group and reports to the Motor Vehicle Council. The Committee is responsible for developing and maintaining SAE Standards, Recommended Practices, and Information Reports related to engine cooling systems and components for automobiles and light trucks, heavy duty on-and off-highway vehicles and industrial equipment.

All standards reflect the latest technology and industry practice through advisement, consultation and cooperation with industry, government, educational institutions, the public, other standardizing bodies, and other SAE committees and members.

Participants in the SAE Cooling Systems Standards Committee include OEMs, suppliers, consulting firms, government, and other interested parties, who assist the SAE Engineering Activity Board through the preparation and presentation of technical papers at national meetings and specialty conferences.
