Description
Call for Papers—SAE International Journal of Electrified Vehicles
SAE International's scholarly journals welcome authors from industry, academia, and government to submit original research for potential journal publication. Authors are invited to submit review-ready manuscripts featuring a detailed description of the research (including methodology, assumptions, hardware, observations, analysis, and a comparison of results with prior work). Papers that are deemed appropriate will undergo a comprehensive double-blind peer review for potential publication in the Journal.

Aims & Scope
The SAE International Journal of Electrified Vehicles provides a forum for peer-reviewed scholarly publication of original research and survey papers that address novel modeling tools, control and optimization methods applied to components, systems, and technologies concerning electrified powertrains (hybrid or full electric)—ground, aerial, and naval.
Topics of interest include battery—BMS, fast charging, aging-, supercapacitors, fuel cells, electric motors, transmissions, hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs); plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs); electric vehicles (EVs); charging stations; electrification of heavy-duty and off-road vehicles, trains, rail vehicles, ships, and aircraft.
The Journal strives to facilitate discussions between researchers, engineers, academic faculty and students, and industry practitioners working with systems, as well as components, and the technological aspects and functions of electrified powertrains and propulsion systems.
SAE's scholarly journals are currently running open Calls for Papers which are not subject to deadlines. Submissions will be evaluated throughout the year. Being published in SAE's scholarly journals can raise an author's profile in the automotive, aerospace, or commercial vehicles fields, while contributing to the industry's body of technical knowledge.
Submissions can be uploaded online via Editorial Manager—SAE's submission and peer review system. When uploading your review-ready manuscript, please include paper title, corresponding author name, and contact information. The submission process for this journal Call for Papers is different from that of SAE's events in that SAE's journals are not considering abstracts by themselves, but rather our editors assess whether the complete paper is appropriate for a journal peer review.

SAE International scholarly journals Mission Statement
Aligning with SAE International’s mission, SAE journals publish state-of-the-art research findings that advance vehicle and system knowledge in a neutral forum for the benefit of society. Each journal serves the needs of academic and industry authors, researchers, and readers in a medium tailored for the discovery, integration, and application of research. Reflecting SAE's commitment to the highest scientific publishing standards, all published articles are rigorously peer reviewed by at least three recognized experts prior to selection by a journal's Editorial Board, and the majority of SAE journals are indexed in the Web of Science, Emerging Sources Citation Index.
